Daniel Ricciardo got his hands on the new RB14 today for a filming day at Silverstone after Red Bull launch their 2018 challenger.
Red Bull Racing have unveiled a dramatic new livery for their 2018 contender – the third car to have broken cover ahead of the new season – albeit only for the filming day before their new livery launches ahead of the Barcelona test next week.
Aston Martin features prominently on the car, with the British car manufacturer becoming Red Bull’s title sponsor in 2018.
The RB14 is the first car from Tilbrook to feature the new Halo – a new head protection device which will be fitted to all cars from 2018.
“New bodywork regulations always dominate the news cycle in the launch season — but 2018 has a bigger acreage of change than most years with the introduction of the Halo and the new exclusion zones on the rear of the car that effectively remove shark fins, monkey seats and T-wings,” Red Bull said on its website.
The race trim look will be displayed for the first time at pre-season testing in Catalunya next week.
